In our opinion, short time rental is even safer than a regular long-term rental. Indeed, your property will be checked and maintain much more often than while rented for a long time.
Also Airbnb guests tend to be more respectful of the property rules that we will define together. In any case, if any damage occurs, Airbnb hold and manage a security deposit that is set to help cover

Airbnb is definitely not illegal. However renting your property for less than 30 days is again the law in Thailand, if you or the condominium does not have a Hotel licence.
That said, the reality is more complicated. 1.2 million guests booked condos and villas in Thailand in 2018.
While renting your own villa won’t be a problem, if you wish to rent your condo, we strongly advise you to contact the juristic person. Some juristic person, beside displaying a warning sign, tend to turn a blind eye on the question. Some are working hard to stop short-term rental.
